At the beginning of the week, Air France-KLM and its Indian partner Jet Airways signed a new agreement to facilitate business travel between France and India. The codeshare enables Air France to market flights under the AF flight number to several Indian business destinations, via Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai: the airports of Chennai, Calcutta and Hyderabad can thus be reached with a single ticket. "This new agreement between Air France-KLM and Jet Airways illustrates our Group's strategic ambition to strengthen its offer between Europe and the rest of the world by developing its own network or, as is the case today, by joining forces with renowned partners such as Jet Airways," sums up Dominique Patry, Director of International Affairs and Alliances at Air France. It remains to be seen whether this new rapprochement will herald more global cooperation, as part of the Skyteam alliance.
