With a long-standing presence in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel opened its doors in 1981, the Starwood group will soon be giving new impetus to its development strategy. The agreement with Majid Al Futtaim Properties made official on 1 May should lead to the inauguration of two upmarket establishments in the centre of Manama. The Westin Bahrain City Centre hotel will feature 200 rooms and suites equipped with the latest technology, five food and beverage outlets, and more than 600 m² of meeting and event space. Le Méridien Bahrain City Centre will have 260 rooms, three restaurants and 460 m² of MICE facilities.
