How to get there
Most of the major European, African, American and Middle Eastern airlines serve Nigeria. Air France connects Paris to Lagos daily and offers one flight a day to Port Harcourt with a stopover in Abuja. For its part, KLM serves Lagos daily from Amsterdam. British Airways offers one flight a day to Lagos and one to Abuja. Lufthansa offers daily services from Frankfurt to Abuja and one flight a day to Port Harcourt with a stopover in Lagos.
Nigerian air transport has had a tumultuous life. Founded in 1958, the national airline Nigeria Airways ceased flying in 2003, crippled by debt. The government then joined forces with Virgin Atlantic to launch Virgin Nigeria. Following the sale of Virgin's shares, the carrier was renamed Air Nigeria in 2010 before suspending operations in 2012. As a result, alongside some fifteen local players, none of which are on the EU's blacklist, Arik Air is now the country's main carrier, linking the hubs of Lagos and Abuja to most domestic airports. Its international network covers several African capitals, as well as New York and London. Arik Air intends to expand its fleet and launch new routes to the Middle East, South America and Paris.

Hotels
Nigeria is a very attractive country for hoteliers. According to W Hospitality, 49 hotels are currently under development.
In the meantime, the major international groups are concentrating their offer on the country's major cities. Starwood offers Méridien hotels in Uyo and Port Harcourt, and Sheraton hotels in Abuja and Lagos, which also boasts a Four Points by Sheraton. Always in Lagos, IHG opened an InterContinental and Carlson Rezidor a Radisson Blu. Accor manages three hotels: two Ibis, one in the Ikeja business district and the other near the airport, and The Moorhouse Ikoyi Lagos, an MGallery. The French group also has a Novotel in Port Harcourt. For its part, Hilton is established in the federal capital with the Transcorp Hilton Abuja. Within the Louvre HotelsGolden Tulip has established itself in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Ibadan, while Best Western is present in Abuja, Benin City, Port Harcourt and Lagos, with three establishments. Marriott, which recently acquired African hotel leader Protea Hotels, now has six hotels in Lagos and three in Abuja.
