"Our new lounge (...) sets new standards in airport luxury and (...) will far exceed the expectations of our passengers": on the occasion of the opening of the new Al Mourjan lounge, Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker did not hesitate to set the bar very high. And with good reason: spread over two levels, Qatar Airways' new business lounge is the size of ten Olympic-size swimming pools, with an infinity pool measuring 15m by 7m. Up to 1,000 visitors - Qatar Airways First and Business Class passengers and, for the time being, oneworld passengers - can now enjoy the lounge's relaxing ambience.

As a business hub, the Al Mourjan lounge is also equipped with a business centre featuring a conference room, individual workstations with Internet access, printers and scanners. On the leisure side, Qatar Airways has integrated various private rooms and relaxation areas for families into this vast space, as well as children's playrooms equipped with PlayStations and an F1 racing simulator. Showers are also accessible, as are seating areas where each seat is equipped with a nightlight, a flight information screen, an electrical socket and a USB plug. "Qatar Airways never compromises on quality, and the Al Mourjan lounge is a perfect example of this, embodying the comfort, convenience and 5-star service that our Premium passengers expect," says Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways Group. We look forward to welcoming them to this revamped lounge experience.
