What are Turkey's strengths?
Nurten Keskin Rollier - There are so many! I'd mention the excellent air connections, the quality of the infrastructure and service, the great creativity... And of course our rich and fascinating culture is not the least of our assets. For a French group, Istanbul is a must. But I recommend combining it with Cappadocia or Bodrum. The punctuality of domestic flights makes these combinations extremely attractive, even for a short-term operation.
Your advice for a successful operation?
N. K. R. - From a technical point of view, traffic jams can be dantesque in Istanbul, and you have to take this into account when planning your programme to avoid them. Basically, the activities that promote our heritage - participatory calligraphy or cookery workshops, cultural conferences, whirling dervish ceremonies, etc. - are always very popular.
Your credo in a nutshell?
N. K. R. - We are craftsmen, and we take the same care in designing a trip for six or 6,000 people: everything is 'hand-sewn', according to our customers' wishes. Sustainable development issues are also very close to our hearts. In Istanbul, I systematically propose an evening where we go on foot, in line with our convictions.
