
Lufthansa is thinking ahead. While several business travel associations are talking about, supporting studiesAfter a flight of business customers following the introduction of the GDS tax, the German group is continuing its momentum. The carrier has just announced the development of "Direct Connect" connections and a "Book on Google" function. The latter allows travellers to book directly via the Google Flights platform and mobile application. "With 'Book on Google', users benefit from the seamless booking experience offered by Google Flights," says Jens Bischof, Member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa German Airlines and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Deutsche Lufthansa AG. "Lufthansa is the first historic airline to be offered this booking facility by Google Flights. (...) This is an important step in the implementation of Lufthansa's new sales and distribution strategy, aimed at modernising existing booking processes and developing alternative distribution channels". The "Book on Google" function is currently available in the United States.
