
Finnair's new Airbus A350 XWB took off from Helsinki on 6 December, bound for Beijing airport. It has 297 seats in two classes: 46 seats in Business Class and 208 seats in Economy Class, plus 43 seats in Economy Comfort, offering extra legroom at the front of the Economy Class. Business Class is equipped with fully reclining Zodiac Cirrus III seats, which offer direct access to the aisle, and a Wi-Fi connection is also available. The new A350 should help Finnair to double its traffic to Asia by 2020 compared with 2010. A total of 19 aircraft of this type have been ordered by the airline by 2023, making it the biggest investment in its history.
