As we all know, the MICE sector is very important for your city...

Chris Meyer - In Las Vegas, the possibilities are almost endless: 150,000 hotel rooms, over a million m2 of space reserved for professionals, including three convention centres that are among the ten largest in the United States. Las Vegas can accommodate groups of between 10 and 170,000 people. And we're not stopping there! In 2016, some 7.2 billion dollars will be invested in new meeting spaces, new public spaces, new resorts and new attractions. Vegas is now recognised as the capital of convention cities. With more than 22,000 professional events in 2015, the city welcomed six million participants. Similarly, we are number 1 in the United States for all major trade shows.

What is the share of the French market?

C. M.- The French market, and more generally the international market, is very important in Las Vegas, linked by 200 international flights a week from 27 major cities around the world. In 2014, for example, we received 107,861 visitors from France, putting the French market in eighth place. We are also expecting the market to grow by 29 % between 2014 and 2015. This will keep us among the world's top tourist destinations.

What, broadly speaking, are the wishes of corporate groups?

C. M. - Whatever their tastes, they are of course attached to the possibilities offered by our convention centres and meeting rooms. But beyond that, there's so much to do, both inside and outside the resorts. So many excursions are possible. Not to mention adrenaline-fuelled experiences such as jumping from the top of the Stratosphere or driving sports cars on a reserved circuit, as well as cultural visits to the Neon Museum, the MOB or the Atomic Testing Museum.
