The airport is often perceived as a stress zone, due to time constraints or security checks. A study published last April by Booking.com In fact, the study ranked the fear of missing a flight as the main anxiety experienced by travellers (36%) during their journeys. A new study, this time carried out by Priority Pass, has done a little to improve the image of airports. After surveying travellers in seven countries - including France - the airport lounge specialist has confirmed that passengers generally appreciate (53%) the time they spend at the airport. A majority of them (56%) would even recommend getting there early, in particular to take advantage of duty free. A good third of those questioned (35%) said that their airport shopping involved luxury products that they would not buy in any other context. "We are witnessing a major shift in thinking about the airport experience, and it is clear that frequent flyers no longer see themselves as passengers passing through the airport, but as consumers looking to make their journey more rewarding," says Stephen Simpson, Global Marketing Director at Priority Pass.
