Premium class continues to gain ground among airlines. Brussels Airlines is joining an increasingly exclusive club, announcing on 16 June the launch of its Economy Plus. The introduction of this intermediate class, between economy and business, concerns intercontinental flights to and from Africa, North America and Canada and will start on 1st July next. Installed in the first four rows of Economy Class, this Economy Plus offers more space and comfort for business travellers, with a 20-degree reclining seat - compared with 8 in economy class. 32 seats are allocated to the new class on each flight, i.e. 180,000 seats a year. Service has also been improved, with a glass of champagne offered before the meal. A toiletry bag, a warm towel, a linen pillow, a blanket and a box of Neuhaus chocolates are also among the little extras provided by Brussels Airlines in this new Economy Plus.

"We have seen greater demand for a product between Business and Economy Class."explains Lars Redeligx, Commercial Director of Brussels Airlines. " Our new Economy Plus offers more space, more comfort and more services at a very attractive price.". The price is set at 120 euros per section, in addition to the Economy fare Class. This new class can be booked by travel agents, via the Brussels Airlines Facebook page, the airline's call centre or at the airport on the day of departure. You will have to wait until next autumn to be able to book via brusselsairlines.com.
La Brussels Airlines moves upmarket is set to continue over the coming months, according to the company's management: "Following the successful implementation of our new commercial strategy on our short and medium-haul flights, we are also starting to introduce a new generation of products on our long-haul flights. And this is just the beginning, as there are more innovations to come. "warns Lars Redeligx.
