Hyperloop One plans nine lines across Europe

Things are looking up for Hyperloop Onethe ultra-fast means of transport launched by Elon Musk. Those in charge of the project recently unveiled the nine links that could soon be taking shape in Europe. The longest line (1060 km) would link England, Scotland and Wales. The shortest would stretch 90 km between Estonia and Finland. In the United States, eleven ultra-fast lines are planned. The stated aim is to connect 75 million of people in 44 towns. "Europe is embracing new ideas in transport like no other region in the world, and is positioning itself in an unprecedented way to make the next great leap forward with Hyperloop One."says Shervin Pishevar, co-founder of Hyperloop One.

The momentum generated by Hyperloop is stimulating the imagination of inventors of all kinds. In June, Brandan Siebrecht won the Radical Innovation Award with its project Hyperloop Hotel a network of 13 establishments in 13 American cities, in which each room would be a Hyperloop capsule allowing travellers to move around without leaving their room.
