Are business travellers safe? At the very least, do they feel they can travel for business without risk? It's hard to come up with a clear-cut answer, but studies on this highly sensitive issue are flourishing. A few days ago, CWT published thestudy CWT Connected Traveler Studyconducted internationally. According to the business travel agency, 46 % of professionals say they are worried about their security, even though 67 % of business travellers believe their journeys are more secure today than in the past. Today, it's the turn of a MagicStay study to take part in the exercise. The alternative accommodation site dedicated to business tourism surveyed nearly 600 professionals in Europe (France, Germany and the UK) during June. The results show that less than a third of business travellers (30%) felt unsafe during a business trip. German professionals feel particularly exposed, with the average rising to 36% across the Rhine, according to the MagicStay study. Gender clearly has little or nothing to do with it, since the feeling of insecurity is more or less the same among men and women. women (32%) than in men (29%).
So what answers can we give travellers and what precautions can we take to improve their safety? Visit choice of accommodation (55%) and neighbourhood (52%) appear to be reliable solutions for a large proportion of travellers. The French are particularly open to the idea of being permanently geolocated - compared with a third of those surveyed for the overall average - or to adhere to strict timetables, with controls. Finally, for more than one passenger in four (27%), the solution could be to travelling accompanied.
