What are the future developments for LUX* Hotels?
Paul Jones - We plan to open two LUX* hotels in ChinaLUX* Organic Escapes in Chengdu in 2018 and LUX* Dianshan Lake planned for 2020, and another in Vietnam, LUX* Phu Quoc, due to open in 2019. Our project in Ajman United Arab EmiratesThe LUX* Al Zorah is scheduled to open in 2019. We would very much like to be present in EuropeWe've opened our first hotel in the Mediterranean last spring in Bodrum. Last spring we opened our first hotel in the Mediterranean, in Bodrum, and we already have a project under way in Italy, in Tuscany. The Indian Ocean continues to be an important territory for us with the opening of a second hotel in the Maldives in early 2018 and the renovation of the LUX* Grand Gaube in Mauritius which will be inaugurated in early December 2017.
Why this desire to leave the Indian Ocean?
Paul Jones - Our ambition is for LUX* to become a global brand. As we are originally from Mauritius, it was logical for us to develop first and foremost in the Indian Ocean. But today, the concept, philosophy and expertise of our brand are winning over investors who entrust us with the management of their hotels. The LUX* brand is now very well known, so it's time to pursue our international development. Our first developments abroad are very promising and confirm our determination to expand.
What is it about the LUX* spirit that appeals to customers and investors?
Paul Jones - Our philosophy is to sharing moments with othersOur aim is to contribute to the happiness of our customers. We have created "The Reasons to Go LUX*".our own experiences, such as the Café LUX* In our resorts, we welcome experts in yoga, photography and painting, and our guests leave having learned something or having perfected one of their talents. The list of LUX* 'extras' is long, and this set of attentions makes us very different from others.
