An infographic is sometimes better than a long speech, especially at the beginning of the year when every company publishes its balance sheet for the previous financial year. La Compagnie has therefore opted for a fun, easy-to-read format to highlight the figures that sum up 2017. Starting with a clear increase in passenger traffic: 56,800 passengers travelled on board the all-business airline last year, marking a significant growth of 44% compared with 2016. The rise in traffic is in line with the increase in the number of flights, which is roughly equivalent (+43% to 979 flights).

The airline, which has taken the gamble of offering an exclusively business class service, logically relies on a solid business customer base. However, the carrier has also managed to attract leisure travellers, who accounted for 35% of the passengers recorded in 2017, as against 65% for the business travel segment. Another finding of this infographic is that American customers are receptive to the airline's offer, representing the majority of travellers (54%).
It remains to be seen what the impact will be of the agreement reached last September with easyJet as part of the platform easyJet Worldwide. This new distribution format for La Compagnie's offer should open up new horizons and help to further increase passenger traffic while diversifying the carrier's targets, as explained at the time Jean-Charles PérinoSales and Marketing Director of La Compagnie.
