
The new Paris-Indianapolis flight was inaugurated on 25 May by Delta. This daily transatlantic route is operated jointly by Air France KLM - a partner in the joint venture - on board a Boeing 767-300ER from 225 seats. Delta will be the the only airline to operate a direct flight between Indiana and the European marketwhich targets business travellers in particular. " The convenience of a non-stop flight will boost the potential for trade between France and this region of the United States "says Dwight James. And airline officials are quick to point out that " More than 45 French companies are based in Indianapolis, and France is one of Indiana's biggest European export markets. ". Indianapolis thus becomes the 13th destination served by Delta from Paris airport.
