A new company low-cost is entering the French market. Already present on the Paris-New York route since 18 May - with one flight a day - Primera Air is adding two business destinations to its catalogue. On 21 June, the Nordic carrier will begin operations on the Paris-Boston. The very next day, 22 June, the airport at Toronto will in turn be linked to Paris CDG by Primera Air. In both cases, the flight schedule includes three rotations per week.
A newcomer to the Paris skies, Primera Air has a fleet of 8 Airbus A321NEO and 10 Boeing 737NG and has been operating flights in Europe for 14 years. Its fare structure distinguishes between five classes of travel: Light, Comfort, Flex, Premium and Premium Flex.
"Great demand from North American visitors".
The company is targeting the North American market in particular, as explained by Anastasija VisnakovaPrimera Air's Commercial Director: " When Primera Air began its transatlantic flight strategy, Paris was one of the first bases we considered in Europe as the airline realised that there was a great demand from North American visitors to travel to the French capital at affordable prices. ".
Primera Air could soon be gaining in visibility. Indeed, the low-cost airline is counting on a fleet of 20 Boeing 737 MAX9s, 10 Airbus A321NEOs, and 10 Boeing 737NGs by 2021.
