
Business travellers looking for low-cost accommodation close to Paris-CDG airport will soon be able to enjoy an easyHotel, under an agreement signed with the group ADP. Expected to open in 2020, just a stone's throw from the Aéroville shopping complex, this budget property will offer 209 rooms and amodel close to low-cost aviation with a basic product - a room with shower and air conditioning - and additional services at an extra cost, such as television and WiFi.
This opening confirms the brand's ambitions in France, where it plans to open 15 hotels over the next five years. "Two months ago, we announced that France is one of our priority markets in terms of development in Europe"explains Marc Vieilledent, Managing Director in charge of development at easyHotel.
The brand, created in 2004 by easyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou, is not limiting its ambitions to France. It also plans to open establishments in around ten cities in Germany and Spain, where its first 204-room easyHotel was recently inaugurated in Barcelona. With 34 establishments in 28 towns and cities in 10 countries, easyHotel is one of the world's leading hotel chains. in a growth phase. Eight easyHotels have been added to its offer this year, in Barcelona, but also in Lisbon, The Hague, Maastricht and a number of UK cities. And 2019 should see eight new developments, including Zurich, Dublin, Cardiff and Cambridge. In the longer term, other destinations are expected to include Dubai, Istanbul and Sri Lanka.
