Since 15 December, business travellers have been able to go directly to theNice airport by taking the line 2 tramway from Magnan station in the city centre. On 14 December, the city inaugurated part of the West-East tramway line, linking Grand Arénas to Nice-Côte d'Azur airport. In particular, it serves the two terminals from the Nice hub. The price of a journey to the airport is the same as the normal fare, and the Grand Arénas-Airport route alone is free.

Line 2 will eventually run from the west of the city, at Cadam-Centre administratif station, to the east, at Port Lympia station. Part of this route will be underground, and the Jean Médecin stop will provide a connection with line 1. Line 2 should be fully operational in September 2019 and the city will inaugurate a third line at the end of next year.
