How has 2018 been for Finnair in France?
Javier Roig - I have to say that it was excellent. The number of passengers rose by 20 %, while our revenue increased by 21 %. This means that our revenue per passenger remains constant on the French market. Worldwide, our passenger traffic exceeded 13 millionThis represents an increase of 11.6 %, while the company's sales rose by 10.5 %.
What is the basis for this growth?
Javier Roig - We've been playing for years Map of Asiabecoming one of Europe's leading carriers to the continent. We offered 101 weekly flights to Asia this winter, compared with 89 last year. For example, we are the Europe's leading carrier to Japan with four destinations: Tokyo which we serve up to twice a day in summer, Osaka and Nagoya with daily flights and Fukuoka which we connect with seasonal flights in summer. And I can already announce that we will be inaugurating two flights a week to Sapporo next winter. We're also preparing a genuine Eco Premium class for 2020.
You mentioned Sapporo. What other routes does Finnair plan to open?
Javier Roig - We are launching two weekly flights on Bordeaux-Helsinki with good connections to Hong Kong and Singapore. We will also be inaugurating flights to Bologna, Hanover and Porto in Europe. On the intercontinental front, we will be serving Punta Cana as well as Los Angeles. Surprisingly, the flight via Helsinki only adds 90 minutes to the journey compared with a direct flight...
