La Défense awaits Mama Shelter, Okko and Radisson Collection

Mama Shelter, Okko Hôtels, Radisson Collection, Staycity: all these brands will be helping to diversify the hotel offer in the Paris business district.

La Défense is continuing to diversify its hotel offer, with almost 1,000 new rooms soon to be added to the 2,600 already in existence. As part of its drive to transform itself into a true lifestyle centre, the Paris business district is turning to brands with a wide range of products and services. resolutely contemporary concepts. After a Citizen M in 2017, it's a Mama Shelter which will open in 2020, for its third establishment in the Paris region after its original hotel in the 20th arrondissement and the one expected in 2019 at Porte de Versailles. The trendy brand launched by the Trigano family, and in which Accor is a shareholder, will move to the Bellini district, near the Seine and the Oxygen tower. Housed in the former Litwin office building, the Mama Shelter will offer 211 rooms and two restaurants, one of which will be on the rooftop.

From his side, Okko Hotels will be established in 2021 in the fast-developing part of the business district, behind the Grande Arche, near Paris La Défense Arena. In a mixed-use development designed by Jean-Paul Viguier and Marc Mimram, the establishment will offer 184 rooms and its little extras designed for business customers, with a business corner, meeting rooms and its Club, like an airport lounge, offering snacks throughout the day.

Alongside these two four-star lifestyle hotels, La Défense will also see the opening of a new top-of-the-range hotel, a Radisson CollectionThe hotel will be located in one of the two Sisters towers designed by Christian de Portzamparc. From 2023, the hotel, whose interior design has been entrusted to Jean-Philippe Nuel, will offer 354 rooms, flats and suites, and, as a highlight, a sky bar on a panoramic bridge linking the two towers.

Also for business purposes, but this time for long stays, a residence Staycity with 216 rooms, overlooking a vast garden and enhanced by a terrace, is also in the pipeline and is due to open in 2021 in Courbevoie. "These new brands, whether upmarket or trendy, will find the expected hybrid clientele in our area.
