Following on from the disruptions seen over the past week on the French transport system, there will also be major disruptions on the metro and RER networks on 12 December. The RATP forecasts traffic levels similar to Wednesdayand plans for 1 train out of 2 for the RER A and 1 in 3 trains for the RER Bat peak times. For the metroLines 4, 7, 8 and 9 will continue to operate only during rush hour. The other lines will be at a standstill, with the exception of automated lines 1, 14 and Orlyval, which will operate normally throughout the day. Lastly, half of the surface network - bus and tram - should be able to operate.
SNCF is also expecting major traffic disruption on 12 December, with one train in four on the network. Transilien, 1 TGV out of 4, and 1 Intercités out of 4 on average. Internationally, theEurostar will be relatively unaffected this Thursday with 3 trains out of 4, compared with 2 trains out of 3 on the Thalysand only 1 train in 6 for Lyria. The Alleo connections between France and Germany will be operational this time, with 3 trains out of 10.
Air traffic should be relatively unaffected. Visit DGAC did not require any reduction in flight schedules for 12 December.
