Affected like all the others by the health crisis, the airlines in the Iberia group - Iberia, Iberia Express, and Iberia Regional - will gradually resume their flights from 1 July. Short- and medium-haul routes will be operated at a rate of 21 % capacity seats, before moving to 35 % once the restrictions have been lifted. The airline also states that it is ready to resume long-haul flights as soon as conditions permit.
In practice, while in June Iberia's offer will be limited to routes from Madrid to BarcelonaBilbao, Asturias, Vigo, La Coruña and the islands of the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands in Spain and to London and Paris in Europe, a forty or so destinations in Spain and Europe will be offered from July onwards, with more than fifty in August.
In July, the airline will be offering services to over twenty destinations in Spain, including Bilbao, La Coruña, Seville and Valencia. In Europe, in addition to Paris and LondonIberia will be serving Athens, Brussels, Dubrovnik, Geneva, Lisbon, Milan, Munich, Porto, Rome, Stockholm, Venice and Zurich, as well as Dakar in Africa. In August, a number of French cities will be linked from Madrid. Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse -There will also be flights to Berlin, Copenhagen, Dublin and Frankfurt, as well as Manchester, Prague and Marrakech. For a total of 194 return flights per week in July, and 359 in August.
