It's now official: Eurostar will be operating a direct service between the Netherlands and the UK from 26 October 2020. Its debut was initially planned on April 30thbut Covid is obliged to postpone them until a better time.
Doing the journey in one go, without passport control in Brussels, the high-speed trains will take just over four hours (4h09 min) to get from Amsterdam to London. From Rotterdam, the journey will take 3h29 min.
Tickets will go on sale from 1 September, priced from €46 each way, and can be exchanged free of charge up to 14 days before departure for bookings made up to 31 December. Given the uncertain economic climate and recent quarantine measures, Eurostar intends to offer travellers greater flexibility.
As part of its reinforced hygiene measures, in addition to increased train cleaning, Eurostar has reviewed its on-board seating to ensure that passengers are seated at a safe distance from each other. Passengers will also be required to wear a mask both on the train and in the station.
