At a time of health crisis, the American specialist in connected watches focused more on sports performance unveils a new premium health watchand is even adapted to the surveillance of the Covid. This is Fitbit's way of highlighting the advantages of this smartwatch, which is equipped with sensors that allow users to monitor their state of health.
Firstly, Fitbit Sense constantly measures the body temperature of its holder so you can check how it's changing. A small rise is immediately indicated by a message on the dial. So you can take part in health checks before carrying out tests if necessary...
As well as measuring body temperature, Fitbit Sense features heart rate tracking technology with a heart rate sensor and also offers the possibility of carrying out electrocardiograms (ECG) to detect signs of articular fibrillation, this particular application having just been recognised as compliant by the health authorities in France and Europe. To do this, users simply place their fingers on the dial of their watch for 30 seconds to measure the electrical activity of their heart.
Another feature that is unique to Fitbit is that this smartwatch is equipped with an EDA sensor, designed to manage stress. This measures the bioelectric pulses that travel across the skin to establish a stress check-up of the owner of the Sense, whose sleep will also be analysed and monitored during the night. In short, this smartwatch analyses and monitors your state of health and stress, day and night, invisibly housed in its stainless steel case.
Its autonomy guarantees constant monitoring, for six days without recharging. Voice assistance, either via Google Assistant or Alexa, enables on-demand voice notifications... even if it means calling the user to order in the event of a malfunction. All in all, a watch that's so smart, it's likely to put any hypochondriac on alert about the slightest bodily variations.
