Le jet lag can quickly become enemy number 1 for business travellers, who can take several days to adapt. Intercontinental travel then becomes a chore, not to say a misery. For professionals plagued by sleep disorders, the symptoms are all too familiar: fatigue, reduced concentration, impaired memory.

Improve sleep, make it easier to wake up

To tackle the crucial issue of sleep, the group Accor Hotels has recently launched a new service: Dreem. Created by French start-up Rythm, this connected headband is equipped with ultra-sensitive sensors that compile a range of data such as brain wavesthe heart rate or the breathing of the traveller. Based on these parameters, Dreem emits sounds into the inner ear to improve the quality of rest. This technique has been tested and validated clinicallyand promises a much better night's sleep repairing. Dreem also acts downstream of this resting phase, thanks to its system of smart alarm clock to make the return to reality as painless as possible.

"A good night's sleep is one of the precepts of Pullman's wellness philosophy, which has made it one of the four pillars of its famous wellness programme: sleep, diet, sport and spa", says Aldina Duarte Ramos, wellness director for Sofitel, Pullman and Swissôtel. AccorHotels remains cautious, however, and only offers Dreem in its establishments. Pullman from Paris Centre-Bercy and the San Francisco Bayas part of a pilot project.
