Like other hotel groupsAccor has made no secret of its desire to expand its residential accommodation offering. With this in mind, the French group is preparing to move into the territory of two major players in the long-stay hotel sector, Ascott and Frasers Hospitalitysettling in à Singapore.
To achieve this, Accor will take over the management of an existing property, 8 on Claymore Serviced Residences, by the end of the year. Located in the Orchard Road districtwhere a new Pullman expected early next yearthe residence offers 85 accommodation options ranging from studios of 36 m2 to flats with two or three bedrooms and a penthouse of 175 m2. All have fully-equipped kitchens, Nespresso machines, Bose audio-visual systems and free high-speed WiFi. For breakfast, relaxation or meetings, 8 on Claymore Serviced Residences features a Club LoungeThe hotel also boasts an outdoor swimming pool and a 24-hour gym.
After taking over the operation of the hotel, the Accor group will undertake a major overhaul. soft renovation rooms and public areas by mid-2022. As for the brand that will be affixed to the long-stay hotel, this has yet to be defined. One thing is certain, however, and that is that it will add to the already rich portfolio of brands deployed in Singapore by the French hotelier. Accor is the leading operator in the City-State with 28 establishments, including the legendary Raffles.
