Aigle Azur launches its first domestic service between Nantes and Lyon

Aigle Azur will be making its debut on the domestic network with a new route popular with business customers: twelve flights a week between Nantes and Lyon.

The directors ofAigle Azur may be thinking big - with the launch of long-haul flights to China and Brazil - they are nonetheless keeping a close eye on Franco-French opportunities. The French company has just unveiled its first domestic route, scheduled for 28 October. Aigle Azur will then link Nantes and Lyon, joining HOP! Air-France and easyJet on a route popular with business travellers.

To attract them, Aigle Azur has put in place an ambitious programme: the frequency will reach 12 return flights per week. The airline will use A320s configured as single-cabin economy aircraft, equipped with 180 seats.

Increasing the company's influence at national level

These aircraft have been put to good use on new routes linking Orly to China and Brazil. These intercontinental flights are only part of this strategy, which also focuses on strengthening short- and medium-haul flights. As a result, Aigle Azur to double frequencies to Berlin and Milan this autumnwhich will increase to 8 weekly flights and two daily flights respectively.
