It was a full flight ahead of schedule - and a very auspicious one at that - that flew from Paris to Beirut on Monday in the colours of Aigle Azur. 131 passengers had a front row seat for the airline's first flight to Lebanon.
Aigle Azur is preparing to operate this route from Paris all year round, with four flights a week. The aircraft used - Airbus A320s and A319s - will be configured in two classes. Both cabins will have access to a hot meal and beverage service. The baggage allowance is set at one piece of 23kg in Economy class, and two pieces of 23kg in Business class.
Aigle Azur celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2016, and now serves Algeria, Portugal, Mali, Senegal, Guinea and Lebanon from six French airports. France's 2nd largest airline operates nearly 300 scheduled flights a year.
