After Paris-CDG and the arrival and departure lounges at London-Heathrow airport, it is now Frankfurt airport's turn to see the Maple Leaf, the lounge concept already present in some twenty airports served by Air Canada. The new business lounge covers an area of 726m² in the German hub's Terminal 1, more specifically in zone B dedicated to departures. The lounge, designed by Bennett C. Lo of the Dialogue 38 design agency, includes a business centre equipped with computers, colour printers and scanners, a "quiet zone" with six recliners with individual screens and noise-reducing headphones, and a shower area with background music. In addition to Air Canada Executive First Class passengers, the Maple Leaf Lounge is open from 6am to 10pm to Super Elite 100, Altitude Elite 75, Altitude Elite 50 and Star Alliance Gold members of the Altitude frequent flyer programme. In total, Air Canada operates up to five daily return flights between Canada and Frankfurt, including direct services from Calgary, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa.
