Air France gives itself an exceptionally designed lounge at CDG 2F

Air France has just inaugurated an exceptionally designed lounge in terminal 2F. A design that marks a real departure from the carrier's other lounges at its hub.

A monumental, transparent staircase, a sculpture of giant wings, and large windows allowing visitors to follow the ballet of aircraft, Air France has just inaugurated its business lounge in Terminal 2F. A total change for Premium passengers travelling on Schengen routesIn the past, they have been given a basement space, whose capacity had been saturated for many years.

Designed by the architectural firm of Canadian Sanjit Manku and French designer Patrick Jouin, the new lounge is one of the company's largest, covering 3,000 mand 570 seats spread over two levels.

The concept of levitation has inspired design. The vast spaces give passengers the impression of floating between heaven and earth.. The materials used - terrazzo, lava stone, wood, the choice of leather and fabrics - have all been rigorously selected to last over time. All this is set in a space where white dominates, but where the traditional Air France colours come in touches of red and blue.

The designers worked on the fluidity of passenger movements. Entry is via gates that scan boarding passes. Dedicated areas then organise the layout of the lounge.

Locavore" catering

On the ground floor are the catering areas with "kiosks" offering seasonal and regional specialities - the "locavore" spirit having taken its mark... The culinary offer evolves throughout the day. Viennese pastries and savoury and sweet tarts are available at all times.

There's also a range of events organised around a counter staffed by chefs. Pancakes in the morning, dishes of the day prepared by a chef at lunchtime and aperitif service.

A wide choice of cheeses and desserts is available, as well as a "detox area". Behind this name lies a corner where you can sip herbal tea or tea...

A first floor reserved for relaxation

Rest and relaxation on the first floor. This area has large, comfortable loungers and soft lighting to create a cosy atmosphere. There are also plenty of armchairs to enjoy the unique view of the slopes.

A Clarins treatment centre offers customers the chance to discover the new Traveller Spa. Tailor-made 20-minute facial treatments are available. Ten showers and a cloakroom are also available to passengers.

It should be noted that Air France has reserved for its Flying Blue Ultimate customers a fully customisable service in private spaces.
