Air France can be found at this summer a similar service schedule to 2019. The company is responding to strong passenger demand and will be offering up to 835 flights a day to 191 destinations in 89 countries from the end of March. This development particularly concerns long-haul with 85 destinations.
The reopening of theAsiaand China in particular, has resulted in increased flight density to the continent. Between now and 1er July, Air France will once again be offering daily flights to Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Air France will continue in parallel increasing capacity towards Tokyowhose airline serves both airports. Up to 11 flights a week will be offered to Tokyo-Haneda and 3 to Tokyo-Narita.
In Africa, Air France will continue to offer more capacity than in 2019. From 12 June 2023, the company is adding a route to Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania) with 3 flights/week operated by Boeing 787-9 as an extension to Zanzibar. On the same date service to Nairobi (Kenya) will become direct, with a daily flight operated by Boeing 787-9. In addition, after Dakar, the airline is announcing the deployment of its new long-haul cabins to another African destination, Johannesburg. The reconfigured Boeing 777-300ER will begin flights on 27 March 2023.
Dar es Salaam in Africa and Ottawa in North America
In North America, Air France will be offering up to 180 flights a week to/from 14 destinations in the United States this summer (including the two New York airports of JFK and Newark). The carrier is also strengthening its presence in Canada, with 50 weekly flights to 5 destinations.. The airline will be resuming flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Quebec City on 2 May. More importantly, on 27 June it will inaugurate a new route between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Ottawa 5 flights a week, operated by Airbus A330-200. Air France will thus be the only airline operating direct flights between Ottawa and Europe, and this summer will be Europe's leading operator of capacity to Canada. On the Caribbean, the only new feature is the launch of a weekly flight on 5 May between Cayenne and Belem in Brazil.
France and Europe: 106 destinations served, including 66 seasonal routes
On the short and medium-haul network, Air France up to 650 flights a day from and to 106 destinations. In particular, the carrier will offer 66 seasonal routes in France and in Europefrom Paris and French regional airports. These routes will take passengers to Corsica (from Paris, Bordeaux, Caen, Rennes, Lille, Lyon and Nantes), Greece (from Paris, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse), Algeria (from Paris, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse), Morocco (from Paris and Nice) and Tunisia (from Paris, Marseille and Nice).
Transavia Francethe Group's low-cost subsidiary Air France-KLM, will operate nearly 200 short and medium-haul routes to 120 destinations this summerincluding 100 to and from Paris-Orly. It is thus positioned as the first low-cost airline to depart from Paris airports.
