Finally, Air Serbia will not be flying to Nice during the summer high season. The airline has given up on the link between the capital of the Riviera and Belgrade due to a lack of traffic.
Initially scheduled for April and then postponed until May, the route has simply been withdrawn from the Serbian carrier's booking engines. In fact, the decision to no longer operate the Nice-Belgrade route was taken after the low-cost carrier Wizz Air opened two weekly flights on the same route at the beginning of April.
On the other hand, Air Serbia confirms it will launch flights between Lyon and Belgrade in June. The carrier will offer from 2 June, two weekly flights by Airbus A319. It also confirms its strong presence at Paris CDG with two daily frequencies to Belgrade. Here too, Air Serbia is in competition with Wizz Air. But this is less competition, as the low-cost carrier only serves Beauvais. On Paristhe carrier is now offering four weekly flights from this spring on NišSerbia's third largest city in the south-east.
This summer, Air Serbia is continuing to expand its network. The airline is launching new routes from Belgrade to Bologna and Trieste in Italy, Hanover and Nuremberg in Germany and Salzburg in Austria.
