The war between Israel and the Hamas has been dragging on for years, but European airlines have finally decided to Resume flights to Tel Aviv. They seem to have received sufficient guarantees for the safety of air services, which have been suspended since October.
Especially as for its part, El Al has never stopped flying to connect Tel Aviv to the rest of the world. This 18 December, for example, Israel's national carrier is offering three flights to Paris as well as a flight to Geneva.
Against this backdrop, most Western European airlines will resume service to Tel Aviv. Flights will begin in January 2024. Air France to return to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion terminal from 21 January from its CDG hub. The airline will operate flights every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. However, this is a reduced programme compared with before October.
Transavia France is also resuming services from Orly. Departure from Paris South airport, the airline will be offering 5 flights a week from 18 January.
Easyjet plans to return in February
The Lufthansa Group also indicated that he would once again be rallying Tel Aviv from 8 January. Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and Swiss to offer 20 flights a week including 4 frequencies per week from Frankfurt, 3 from Munich, 5 from Zurich and 8 from Vienna. Always from French-speaking Europe, easyJet will return to Israel at February. Departing from Paris, flights will begin on 1 February, gradually increasing from 3 to 5 and then 7 weekly flights. On NiceFrom 3 February, easyJet will be offering two flights a week (Wednesday and Saturday).
A Basel/MulhouseFrom 4 April onwards, easyJet will be offering three flights a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays) as well as one daily flight (except Saturdays) from Geneva from 1 February.
