
American Express expands its offer of free airport lounges Platinum card holders and Centurion members, and two accompanying persons. The corporate payment card issuer will open its thirteenth and fourteenth Centurion lounges, the first in Europe and the second outside the United States after Hong Kong at London Heathrow. Expected to open in 2019, this lounge will be located in terminal 3, after security, and will offer the amenities common to Centurion Lounges, i.e. top-of-the-range showers and private, soundproofed workstations, in addition to a range of food and beverages.
In 2020, American Express will add a Centurion Lounge at Charlotte-Douglas Airport in North Carolina, the sixth largest hub in the country. Located on the top floor at the intersection of Concourse D and E, it will be one of the largest lounges in the network. Centurion Lounges are now available at LaGuardia airport in New York, McCarran airport in Las Vegas, Dallas/Fort Worth airport, San Francisco airport, Miami airport, Seattle-Tacoma airport, George Bush airport in Houston, Hong Kong airport and Philadelphia airport. Further developments are expected at JFK airport in New York, Denver and Los Angeles. In addition to these, Platinum cardholders have access to over 1,200 airport lounges worldwide through numerous partnerships.
