
Far from the more or less haphazard predictions that regularly fuel the business travel news, American Express has opted for the concrete, by interviewing its own teams who are confronted every day, in the field, with the desiderata of business travellers. This infographic, published in its original version under the title "U.S. Travel Counselor Survey Report", compiles the main characteristics of business travellers on the other side of the Atlantic. A businessman who makes an average of 21 to 30 business trips a year, lasting 3 days in 40% of cases, and most often during the autumn (61% of bookings). The aisle seat is unanimously favoured by American businessmen (95%), who opt for an extra space for their leg in 16% of bookings, but also sometimes... for an animal escort! According to the study, 21% of American Express travel advisors have already been confronted with a request concerning a pet. Less surprisingThe flight schedule remains the main criterion for business travellers, ahead of the airline and the price of the ticket. In the hotel sector, the hotel brand is crucial in 78% of cases, well ahead of free Wi-Fi (13%) and free breakfast (7%).
