New financial windfall for three British airports

Aberdeen, Glasgow, Southampton these three airports managed by AviAlliance will undergo a rejuvenation programme costing 350 million pounds sterling, or €411 million. The main terminal at Glasgow will be completely transformed as part of this project. The two main thrusts of the project are based on the energy efficiency of Scotland's second-largest airport, and on the expected - and hoped-for? - both in terms of passengers and airlines. The other two airports - Aberdeen and Southampton - will undergo more localised redevelopments of the terminals concerned. The UK Aviation Minister, Mike Kane, also praised the environmental dimension of the project: " This investment will encourage the decarbonisation of airports across the country and support the deployment of new fuels and technologies to contribute to the sustainable growth of the sector. ".
