Bank of America has just launched a new corporate card for business travellers, available in North America, Europe and Asia. Its name, Executive Explorer, sums up its main target: senior executives and frequent travellers. Its main feature is to offer travellers practical advantages in the form of credits to be spent with various players to make their journeys easier.

For example, each year, Executive Explorer cardholders have an envelope of 600 dollars, or 540 euros, for access to 1,500 airport lounges worldwide. This credit can be used for day passes or annual subscriptions. The LoungeKey programme, which gives access to 1,100 lounges worldwide, is a partner of the solution, as are major American airlines such as Alsaka Airlines, American Airlines, Delta and United Airlines.

Another advantage is that card users can benefit from accelerated airport journeys with a $100 credit or 90 euros to be used over a four-year period with specialist Fast Track providers such as Global Entry, Nexus, Registered Traveler and/or TSA Pre.

The Executive Explorer card adds improved insurance coverThese include protection against lost luggage and luggage delays, as well as protection against car-pooling risks and mobile phone problems. Cardholders also benefit from priority assistance from the bank's services.

With the upturn in business travel, we believe that our customers' employees will benefit from these new possibilities (...), as well as from contactless features such as the contactless and mobile payment" said Jennifer Petty, Head of Global Card and Comprehensive Payables in Bank of America's Global Transaction Services division.

This launch also has a technological dimension. At the same time, the use of these cards has been facilitated by the new application Global Card Access (GCA). This application allows cardholders to activate their card, check their balance and access a dashboard with key account information. This management tool is also protected by a biometric connection, in addition to a card lock option for added security when not in use.

With the GCA application, we offer our customers the same look & feel and the same conveniences of use that we all expect from technology in our daily lives" said Fernando Iraola, co-head of Global Corporate Sales GTS at Bank of America.
