Announced in 2023, and materialised last February with a first hotel at London Heathrow airport, the expansion of B&B HOTELS in the United Kingdom continues with five new addresses in Birmingham, Ipswich, Warrington and Derby in England and Inverness in Scotland. This growth has been made possible by the acquisition of several establishments in the Pentahotel group, already integrated into the French hotel operator's reservation site.
While they will remain open and managed by the current staff, they will be subject to a period of light renovation in the coming months to meet B&B's specifications. With their lifestyle spirit, these hotels with around a hundred rooms were mostly equipped with meeting rooms.
" Chis latest takeover of five hotels follows on from our first hotel at Heathrow Terminal 5 and constitutes an important step in our expansion plans in the UK - and in our global ambition to have 3,000 hotels within 10 years" said Fabrice Collet, CEO of B&B HOTELS. For his part, Patrick O'Connell, Managing Director of B&B HOTELS UK, expressed the group's desire to continue to develop " in other cities and other tourist and leisure locations in the UK" .
The stated aim is to have 100 hotels in the UK by 2035. At the same time, B&B HOTELS is closing in on the 400 establishments in France with several recent openings, notably in Annecy, Villefranche-sur-Saône and Reims Tinqueux, as well as near Mulhouse-Basle airport and the Avignon exhibition centre. As for the Paris region, there are two new addresses in Clichy-sous-Bois and Montrouge, just outside Porte d'Orléans.
