Bordeaux's hotel offering is diversifying and going international

Alongside a large number of independent hotels, the chain hotel sector is naturally well represented in the city. These two establishments join the B&B, Golden Tulip and Hilton Garden Inn hotels that have opened in recent years in Bordeaux's new business centre.

More international names expected in Bordeaux

The Sheraton brand is arriving right next to the airport, with a 177-room hotel integrated into the 45e Parallèle business park. The complex, developed by Nexity, is due for completion at the end of 2022 and will combine accommodation, offices and a 1,757 m² conference centre with seminar, coworking and reception areas.

In the meantime, in June last year, the Marriott group, which owns the Sheration chain, already made double coup in Bordeaux by integrating two other of its brands - Renaissance and Moxy - next to the Bassins à Flot, at the foot of the Cité du Vin. A prime location for companies in the digital economy, it has already attracted the interest of the Radisson group, with a hotel due to open in 2018, and more recently of the business chain B&B Hotels.

While new districts in tune with the times will continue to evolve in the metropolis, and concepts adapted to these locations will play their part in this evolution.
