This will be a first for British Airways since the Covid crisis. The British airline, whose logo is familiar to passengers at Heathrow and Gatwickwill make its debut at the airport of Stansted next spring. BA's return to the airport in north-east London is a boon for the airline's customers. high-contribution passengers. The carrier is the only one to offer a business class product on short-haul routes.

The launch of British Airways flights to Stansted will take place on 18 May 2024 bound for Florence, Ibiza and Nice. They will be operated by BA's subsidiary operating from London City Airport, BA Cityflyer. The flights will be operated by Embraer 190.

Stansted will thus become the fourth London airport served by the British national airline. British Airways will only offer flights to these three cities at weekends.. They will complement existing flights from City Airport, where BA Cityflyer serves 30 destinations.
