Study: British Airways measures bleisure in the French market

British Airways has published a study into the behaviour of French business travellers during their business trips. More specifically, it looks at the role of bleisure, that mix of business travel and leisure.

Already singled out by various studies, the bleisure phenomenon continues to grow, particularly in the French market. As part of its new On Business frequent flyer programme, British Airways is taking the temperature in the French market, which is particularly keen to combine business with pleasure: "True to their reputation, the French know how to make the most of every moment, even during a business trip", summarises the airline in the preamble to the study... In fact, "74 % [of those surveyed] take advantage of a moment of relaxation between two meetings to visit and 57 % also take the time to discover a new place to go out" indicates the study published on 12 January. According to the survey of 800 French business travellers, which was carried out last November, flight time is mainly devoted to reading (72 %), ahead of naps (51 %) and films (41 %)... However, work still takes pride of place on the podium of in-flight activities (49 %).
