Business travel and HR: Enterprise takes stock

The study unveiled on 12 March by Enterprise Mobility is based on the testimonies of a thousand employees, and is limited to the French market. In particular, it points the finger at the HR problems associated with business travel, and sounds the alarm for companies. It's true, more than one in two employees (54%) would consider changing jobs in order to obtain better alternatives to using their private car.

" This study shows that employees have expectations regarding the use of private cars for business travel, which can have an impact on their job satisfaction."says Anthony Ambler, Sales Director at Enterprise in France. He continues: "Reconsidering employees' business travel would not only improve their well-being, but could also make the company more attractive in terms of retention. ".

The issue is all the more crucial given that, according to Enterprise Mobility, 78% of French workers use their personal vehicle for work. daily business trips. This practice poses a number of problems, not least because the vehicle's value decrease as 16% of those surveyed lamented. Enterprise also believes that reimbursement rate have not been adjusted for the rise in fuel prices (19%), and points to the loss of time linked to the reimbursement of mileage expenses (14%).

According to Enterprise Mobility, almost 3 out of 10 employees (29%) would like to be able to use a rental car made available by their employer. More generally, French employees are in favour of using multimodal traveland, above all, how it is valued by the employer. In fact, 51% of those surveyed would like their employer to facilitate their daily journeys by combining different means of transport.
