Conflict continues at airports, but with less impact

On the 6th day of the strike action launched by airport security companies, the movement has spread to Nice airport, in addition to Roissy, Lyon and Toulouse. Nevertheless, the disruption to travellers seems to be contained by the airports concerned, which are managing to maintain flights.

The conflict between the airport security staff unions and their management has not yet reached an end, despite the various meetings scheduled. And the plan to use the police to replace striking staff is unlikely to help ease tensions. As a result, a vote was taken on Tuesday evening to extend the strike to Nice airport, but this did not mobilise the staff. For its part, Aéroports de Paris said this morning: "at 9.30 am, at Paris-Orly, no waiting times were recorded at the checkpoints", while specifying that "some delays to flights departing from Terminal 2 are still possible" at the Roissy site.
