Hilton has announced the ambitious debut of its Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand in Los Angeles. Expected to open next year, this new high-end hotel is part of the development of a vast multifunctional complex designed by Frank GehryThe Grand LA, which also includes a host of shopping and dining venues, as well as 400 residential flats.
Located in the heart of Grand Ave. Arts, the hotel is also close to the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Museum of Contemporary Art. "Whereas Downtown Los Angeles is experiencing its biggest property boom in a centuryWe believe that 2022 is the ideal time to introduce such a dynamic hotel to this cultural epicentre.said Danny Hughes, president of Hilton's Americas region.
Housed in a 28-storey tower, the Conrad Los Angeles at The Grand LA will offer on opening day 305 rooms and over 3,500 m2 for meetings and events. With its lounges and restaurants open to the outside world and, above all, its immense 5,000 m2 rooftop with swimming pool, the hotel aims to position itself as an attractive base for business travellers in search of lively venues.
Also in the Americas zone, Hilton's Tapestry Collection made its debut in Brazil - as well as on the South American subcontinent - some thirty kilometres from Sao Paulo. Built by the Jesuits in the 16th century and nestled in the Atlantic Forest, the historic town ofEmbu das Artes plays on its colonial heritage to attract travellers. And it is in this tropical setting that this 138-room hotel is set, with a focus on both leisure and MICE.

A new member of the Tapestry Collection, the Almenat Hotel boasts 22 meeting roomsAll of which include videoconferencing solutions. There are also a number of areas for incentive and relaxation activities, including a gym, bowling alley, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts, two football pitches and a hiking trail through the rainforest. In addition, there will soon be two barbecue areas for private events.
With this opening, the brand now has almost 70 establishments worldwide. But the Almenat Hotel is also part of Hilton's expansion in a key market where, until now, the American group has only had around ten establishments. "Brazil is one of the priorities for our development in the region"said Jorge Giannattasio, in charge of the Hilton Group's operations in the Caribbean and Latin America. And so, eight new openings are expected over the next four years, particularly with the arrival of new chains Motto by Hilton and Tru by Hilton.
