"French business travellers are becoming more and more discerning": these are the words with which CWT introduces the barometer for the last quarter of 2014, which is intended to highlight the major trends in the French business travel market. According to the business travel agency, this trend can be explained by the forward-thinking nature of French business travellers. According to the barometer, the proportion of professionals booking their trips more than 14 days in advance has risen sharply (+47%) compared to 2013. However, this anticipation is not enough - yet - to bring down the price of business travel. The average cost of a trip is €285.71, a slight increase (+0.9%). This increase can be explained by price rises in rail (+2.4%), hotels (+1.1%) and air (+0.7%). Only car hire fell back in price terms: by 4.6%.
