This Sunday 15 December will go down in the history of Franco-Swiss business travel. Visit Léman Express is beginning operations, becoming the largest cross-border regional rail network in Europe, with 45 stations and 230 kilometres of lines. The Léman Express links Geneva à Annemasse thanks to around forty trains. With a link every 10 minutes between the two towns, as well as two trains per hour from Geneva to Evian and one train per hour to Saint Gervais and Annecy at peak times, mobility within Greater Geneva and Haute-Savoie will be rethought. The project, mainly supported by SNCF RéseauThe project took eight years to complete and required an investment of more than 230 million eurosThe project will include the adaptation of Annemasse station, but above all the creation of a double track dedicated specifically to the Léman Express, underground in order to limit noise and visual pollution. All in all, the CEVA line (Cornavin-Eaux Vives-Annemasse) stretches over 16 km, adding to the 230 km of lines and 45 stations connected within a 60 km radius of Geneva. The network initially expects 50,000 passengers a daywith access to a new multimodal cross-border tariff called "Léman Pass. It brings together ten French and Swiss operators, including SNCF Mobilités and the Swiss Federal Railways (CFF).
