Present in Thailand, South-East Asia, China, Japan, Africa and the Gulf, the chain Dusit Hotels and Resortsunder the aegis of Dusit International, has taken a new step in its international development by inaugurating its first establishment on European soil. This is the Dusit Suites Athensthe first Dusit brand property in Europe.
The hotel is located in the heart of Glyfada, along what is known as the 'Athens Riviera'. The area is renowned for its beautiful sandy beaches, marina, shops and gastronomic offerings with trendy bars and restaurants.
The hotel is just a 30-minute drive from the city centre and 20 minutes from the airport.. The four-storey establishment offers 36 suitesThere are two restaurants, one serving Mediterranean specialities and the other Asian, a swimming pool with sauna and hammam, and a spa. The spa offers a free massage to each guest per stay.
The Dusit Suites Athens is particularly aimed at business customers for longer stays. The hotel also has a team dedicated to organising meetings and conferences.
Strong growth over the next three years
Other establishments in Europe are set to follow. Dusit is preparing to accelerate its development in 2023. The chain plans to open 14 hotels (comprising around 1,700 rooms) in seven countries in Asia and Europe.. This expansion will bring the global portfolio of Dusit Hotels and Resorts to 62 establishments (around 13,700 rooms) in 17 countries.
More than 60 establishments are currently under construction. They should open their doors in the next three or four years. The most spectacular is expected to be the Bangkok's new Dusit Thanion the site of the historic hotel. The Group is planning its opening mid-2024.
