Accor continues to strengthen its position as hotel leader in Eastern Europe, particularly in Poland where the French group has just opened an ibis Styles close to Warsaw Fryderyk Chopin airport. With 124 rooms and meeting rooms, the hotel offers, as usual for the budget brand, a themed design, this time around the theme of chess and the 1980s atmosphere of the series The Queen's Game. Also this summer, Accor will be adding Kosovo to its list of destinations with the opening of a Mercure in Pristina. Close to the embassies and the new business centre of the country's capital, this hotel, with 75 modern rooms, a bar-restaurant and meeting rooms, is part of the Minimax City development, which includes a shopping centre, boutiques and restaurants.

Looking further ahead, other hotels are planned in the region.n, for example a new Mercure in Brasov, one of the major cities in central Romania. With its renowned historical heritage, the city will see the renovation and upgrading of the former Capitol Hotel Brasov from the beginning of next year. Expected to open in late 2025 under the name Mercure Brasov Center, the hotel will offer 181 rooms, including 28 suites, as well as six meeting rooms with a total surface area of over 500 m².

Mountain stages

For its part, Pullman is waiting to open several resorts, one of them in the Montenegro by the end of the year. Located in Kolasin, the country's main ski resort recently linked by motorway to the capital Podgorica, the hotel will offer 144 rooms and 17 flats, all with balconies overlooking the mountain landscape. Similarly, Mövenpick will be extending its offer in Poland. In addition to the urban establishments of Wroclaw and Poznan, it is expected to open its doors in the mountain resorts of Karpacz and Zakopane, as well as in on the shores of the Balticin the seaside town of Swinoujscie. Located on one of the Uzbek capital's main streets, Amir Temur Avenue, and close to the UzExpoCentre congress centre, the Mövenpick Hotel Tashkent will offer 174 rooms and suites, a spa with swimming pool and a gourmet restaurant, as well as all the facilities needed for business meetings with a ballroom and several meeting rooms.

Also in the region, in Georgia, Accor is preparing for the opening in 2025 of the Novotel Living Batumion the Black Sea coast. Focused on leisure and long stays, with 319 self-catering flats, a rooftop restaurant and an infinity pool, the hotel will also offer business facilities with several conference rooms.
