Bringing life to the Porte de Versailles outside business and public events, forging links with the city and its neighbourhood: as part of the modernisation of Paris Expo Porte de VersaillesAt the beginning of the year, Viparis set out to extend the range of services it offered to Parisians, visitors to the park and travellers passing through by turning to the hotel sector. By the end of 2019, this strategy had resulted in the opening of a Novotel and a Mama Shelter or the Perch, a trendy restaurant and bar on the roof terrace of pavilion 6.

This development will continue end 2023 with the addition of a budget hotel offering at the heart of the exhibition centre. For the occasion, Viparis has chosen a hybrid concept with a predominantly ecological focus, from the Eklo brand, which will be the first hotel in Paris. The hotel will offer 304 roomsa restaurant and bar, a rooftop with panoramic views, but also meeting rooms for business customers. " This new hotel offer, embodied by Eklo, is in line with Viparis' strategy of diversifying the range of hotels on offer at Porte de Versailles while offering a new lifestyle experience." said Pablo Nakhlé CerrutiCEO of Viparis.

A warm, contemporary design, a wide range of accommodation including single, double and family rooms, as well as dormitories and a shared kitchen: In its own way, Eklo is the embodiment of this new wave of affordable, contemporary hotel accommodation. And all the more so because its concept focuses on eco-responsibility. The future hotel will be equipped with water flow reducers and energy savers, while the kitchen will use local produce and avoid waste by working with the start-up Too Good To Go. The building will also feature high environmental performance. Designed by the Valode & Pistre agency, in charge of the master plan for the modernisation of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, it is aiming for NF HQE Bâtiments Tertiaires certification, at the excellent level, and BREEAM International New Construction 2016, at the very good level.

This future environmentally-friendly establishment, a veritable flagship for Eklo, will be a new lifestyle addressA place where you can come for a drink, eat, work or sleep, at very attractive prices." said Emmanuel Petit, Chairman and founder of Eklo. The brand, which has seven outlets in France - in Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Le Mans, Le Havre, Lille, Marne-La-Vallée and soon Toulouse - is expecting to open two more this year, in Lyon and Roissy.
