The Group Eklo is aiming to carve out a place for itself in the urban hotel sector, with a range of products that are both economical and environmentally friendly - with eco-designed buildingsThese include low-consumption operations, short supply chains and waste reduction, all with a design and lifestyle spirit. From six locations to date - in Bordeaux, Clermont-FerrandLe Havre, Le Mans, Lille and Marne-La-Vallée - the offer will increase to nine establishments by the end of next year with openings expected in Lyon, Toulouse and Roissy. Announced last year, these projects are now taking on more substance.
An Eklo will appear next April in Toulouseas part of the development of the Cartoucherie eco-district. The ecological dimension of the brand will be amply demonstrated, since the hotel will be housed in a wooden towerThe new building will be the 76-metre-high Wood'Art tower. Easily accessible by tramway line 1, Eklo Toulouse will offer 100 rooms and large communal areas. It will be an open-plan living space, with a bar, restaurant and shared kitchen.
Later in the year, in the fourth quarter, the brand will be setting up in LyonThe Grand Parilly district is also undergoing major development. Located in the 8th arrondissement, at the junction of Lyon and Vénissieux, this urban development project includes housing and offices, as well as shops and, of course, a host of other facilities, vast green spaces and a green corridor running through the district. It is in this contemporary environment that the Eklo Lyon will offer 110 rooms for a hotel that is as much aimed at tourists as at business travellers, with its meeting rooms and accessibility. Served by metro line D and tram line 4, the district is connected to Lyon Part-Dieu station in around fifteen minutes.
Also at the end of 2022, Eklo will offer a hotel also targeting business customerssince it is located ten minutes from Paris CDG airportand the Villepinte Exhibition Centre. With 150 rooms, meeting rooms and a restaurant with terrace, the hotel is a great value place to stay between flights or at a trade show in Villepinte. Located in the Roissy Sud mixed development zone, this new building benefits from the latest standards in terms of eco-responsibility, classified A for its environmental impact and equipped with photovoltaic panels for self-sufficiency in electricity.
These projects are part of the Group's ambitions to achieve a portfolio ofaround forty hotels over the next 10 years with the main focus on major French cities. Several new Eklo centres are already in the pipeline, with one expected in Montpellier in 2023 and two more in the Paris region in 2024, including one near Porte de Versailles.
